Species group D. fir-L includes L. occidentalis, L. gmelinii, Pseudotsuga menziesii, and others; group Hem-Tam includes L. kaempferi, L. laricina, and others; and group S-P-F includes Picea engelmannii, Pinus sylvestris, Abies balsamea, and others; and group JS-III includes L. kaempferi and similar species
