Nationwide carbon stocks in HWPs of buildings estimated using different methods and parameters. HWPs, harvested wood products; FOD, first-order decay; LD, LND, and ND represent logistic, log-normal, and normal distributions, respectively. The flux-data method (FOD default) uses the default parameters (half-lives and decay coefficients) suggested in the IPCC guidelines, whereas the other flux-data methods consider parameter values that minimize the sum of squares of differences between the values obtained by the direct inventory and flux-data methods (values in Table 3)
